Full details of 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton facelift

Volkswagen the Germany car manufacturer unveiled 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton facelift at Beijing auto show. Full details of the car are now available. The Volkswagen flagship saloon is available with a long wheelbase.

The 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton has one turbodiesel and three petrol engine system available. The V6 TDI kicks out 237 bhp or 174 kW / 240 PS with a 5.6% improvement in fuel consumption. It now uses 8.5L of diesel per 100 kilometers, or 27.7 mpg, while producing 224 grams of CO2 per km. The car has direct injection petrol V6 engine that produces 276 hp or 206 kW / 280 PS is new to the Phaeton. The car is probably be tuned to more robust and more fuel efficient.

The changes to the 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton car include a completely remodeled front end that incorporates LED cornering lights, and bi-xenon headlights that touch either side of the chrome grille. The rear light cluster is also comprised of LEDs behind smoked lenses.

The drivers get interior benefit of items from the Volkswagen Exclusive line, including Alcantara, leather and wood. 18-way seating is also featured on the front seats, while the optional individual rear seats are electronically adjustable. Four zone climate controls can also be found to keep things comfortable, while the driver has access to a new brake system, Dynamic Light Assist and an infotainment unit. The infotainment system can update itself through a mobile UMTS connection when connnected to mobile phone.

The cost of the 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton was not yet available, even though the car will be available for sale in European market later this month and in August in China.

Volvo announced new Volvo Concept Truck 2020

Volvo the Swedish commercial automobile manufacturer announced Volvo Concept Truck 2020 is closer to reality than one may expect.

The Volvo Concept Truck 2020 is a plan for a more environment and road friendly transporter. The truck features new technologies and an aerodynamic design to decrease fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Our vision for the future is not that far away. Much of the technology in the Volvo Concept Truck 2020 is already available said in a statement by Volvo Trucks design director Rikard Orell.

The new technologies will be an auto pilot system, managed through a wireless connection which can take a group of trucks across the European continent at speeds of about 90 km/h or 56 mph, figuring a road train that will make truck traffic more efficient on Europe which is already busy highways.

The Concept Truck 2020 has rear view cameras that project an image onto the inside of the windscreen, LED headlamps and indicators and collision protection panels on trucks nose. The panel on dashboard with advanced touchpad screen like an iPhone providing the right information to the driver. As for comfort on those long hauls, the driver has the benefit of a fouton sofa in berth behind front seats which folds out into a bed to sleep at night.

Saleen announced new 2011 Saleen S302 unveiled at this week end

Saleen the US Sports car manufacturer Saleen Performance cars 2011 Saleen S302 unveiled at the Carlisle Ford Nationals in Carlisle this week end. The Saleen S302 is launched after 435S and S281 previous year.
The car is based on the 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0-L, thrust is provided by the same V8 engine system and it pushes out 317 kW or 425 bhp or 431 PS while torque is 536 Nm or 395 lb-ft. Drive is through the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited slip differential.

The interior of the car looks sport style, manufactured with leather sports seats, similar to chevron Ultrasuede red tabs in seatback bolsters, Saleen logos on door panels, as well as exclusive gauges, steering wheel and gear shifter.

The exterior of the car features include 20-inches, 7-spoke alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero high-performance tyres, a strong but stylish front grille and a simple integrated rear wing.

Ferrari 458 Italia is powered with a 4.5-L V8 engine system producing 419 kW or 562 bhp or 570 PS and 540 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The car is companioned with a dual clutch 7-speed F1 gearbox. The 0-100 km/h sprint is achieved in less than 3.4 seconds and top speed is 325km/h or 202 mph.

Bugatti 16C Galibier concept has been spotted out

Bugatti the high performance car manufacturers new Bugatti 16C Galibier concept has been spotted out in Molsheim, France which is debuted at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
The Bugatti 16C Galibier is powered with a twin supercharged 8.0-L 16-cylinder flex fuel engine system with 800 PS or 588 kW or 789 hp to 1,000 PS or 735 kW or 986 hp. The car is supported by all wheel drive system. It is rumored as 8-speed automatic transmission. The Galibier is imagined to be the most exclusive, elegant, and powerful 4-door car in the world.

The Bugatti 16C Galibier is a concept car but now rumors have recommended Bugatti will put the Galibier into production when the Veyron is phased out. The company has been silent on details of the car. As formerly declared the preliminary feedback received from customers and opinion formers on it had been very positive.

If past reports are exact, Bugatti has brand the Galibier design and plans to launch the £900,000 or $1.31m or €1.08m uber-sedan in 2013.

Citroen unveiled 2011 Citroen C4 debut at Paris Motor Show

Citroen the French car manufacturer has unveiled 2011 Citroen C4 car on website. The car is available for sale with dealers on next year which is going to make its first debut at Paris Motor Show.

The 2011 Citroen C4 is expected to be available with the usual turbocharged petrols and HDi diesels. More significantly Citroen will launch a C4 Hybrid car with a 1.6-L e-HDi diesel engine. The hybrid will feature regenerative brake system, an engine stop/start system, and low-rolling resistance tires. The emissions of the car are expected to be 109 g/km, but those numbers could fall to 99 g/km in more eco-friendly variants.

The 2011 Citroen C4 car features aggressive headlights, a bolder grille, and additional chrome accents. The car also has roof-mounted spoiler, classier rear bumper and modern taillights.The interior cabin of the car possesses a massive steering wheel, metallic accents, and an improved center stack.

Other goodies include a high-tech instrument cluster which offers a variety of a setting, 408 L of goods capacity, and an eTouch system that watches fuel utilization and driving practice of the car. Optionally the car has massaging front seats, a blind spot monitoring system and a panoramic sunroof.
