Porsche revealed Porsche 918 RSR Coupe at Detroit auto show

Porsche the Germany car manufacturer revealed the Porsche 918 RSR Coupe at the Detroit auto show.

Porsche 918 RSR Coupe is powered with a V8 engine system which produces 555 bhp at 10,300 rpm. The two electric-motors on the front wheels provides 150 kW getting output to peak drive power of 767-hp. Porsche named this kind of hybrid system as Intelligent Performance.
Porsche 918 RSR Coupe uses Kinetic Energy Recovery System developed by Williams F1 racing team. The hybrid system contains flywheel generator located at drivers side as an alternative of passenger seat whose rotor spins at up to 36,000 rpm and can store energy.

Porsche 918 RSR Coupe front axle was equipped with torque vectoring system with variable torque distribution to increase the power of the front wheels. The 918 RS Coupe comes with 6-speed constant-mesh transmission with longitudinally mounted shafts and straight toothed spur gears.

The Porsche 918 RSR Coupe inside has similar type follows function design. The car has a bucket seat in brown leather for driver, gear number blazes on steering wheel while other displays provide relevant information. The exterior of the car is painted with liquid metal chrome blue which features large wheel arches, air intakes, fan wheel between the ram air intake tubes and rear spoiler.
