Renntech revealed tuned new Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series

Renntech the car tuning company has revealed new information about their Performance Package 1 of Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series. The cost of the car will start from $16,390.

Renntech set up a revised ECU, a Dual Intercooler Pump Upgrade and a sport exhaust system in Mercedes SL65 AMG. These upgrade permits the bi-turbo 6.0L V12 engine system to produce 600 kW or 805 bhp and 1,356 Nm or 1,000 lb-ft of torque, instead of the standard 493 kW or 661 bhp and 1,000 Nm or 738 lb-ft of torque.

Audi entered Audi R8 e-tron in Austria electric-car rally

Audi the Germany car manufacturer has entered the Audi R8 e-tron in an electric-car rally in Austria to show the expertise zero emissions technology. Audi R8 e-tron will go on sale in select markets at the end of 2012.

The Audi R8 e-tron is powered with 4 motors each designated to one of the wheels with a sum of 230 kW or 313 hp and 4,500 Nm or 3,319 lb-ft of torque. The R8 e-tron accelerates 0 to 100 km/h or 62 mph in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 200 km/h or 124 mph.

The Audi R8 e-tron will run the 167.5 km or 104.08 miles route of the Silvretta E-Auto Rally Montafon 2010 piloted by factory driver Lukas Luhr. The race takes place in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg.

Ford received EPA fuel economy rating for 2011 Lincoln MKX

Ford the US car manufacturer has received the Environmental Protection Agency or EPA fuel-economy rating for the 2011 Lincoln MKX which gives the premium crossover the best-in-class horsepower, torque and best fuel economy of any luxury crossover vehicle on the market.

Aston Martin revealed new special edition Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420

Aston Martin the UK car manufacturer revealed new special edition Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 has a reduced weight and features new sports exhaust system.

Bugatti unveiled new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport

Bugatti the France car manufacture has unveiled new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, the special-edition model broke a new landspeed world record for production cars hitting a top speed of 267.81 mph.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport gets a manipulated 8.0L 16-cylinder turbocharged unit with increased horsepower from 1,001-hp to 1,200-hp which is 199hp more than the standard model with a maximum torque of 1,106 lb-ft. Top speed for the production models will be automatically limited to 259 mph to defend the tires.

The Veyron 16.4 Super Sport was piloted by Bugattis official test-driver, Pierre Henri Raphanel, who returned two runs one at 265.3 mph and one at 269.6 mph. The persons at German Technical Inspection Agency called TUV and Guinness took the average of both times which came in at 268 mph.

Bugatti announced in a report that the first 5 Super Sport cars to come off the production line will feature a special series of their own with the same configuration as the landspeed record car with black and orange finish. The production models will be electronically limited to 257.9 mph to protect the tires. The Veyron 16.4 Super Sports will be going to make its first debut at Pebble Beach in August.

BMW revealed teaser images of 2013 Megacity

BMW the German car manufacturer revealed the teaser images of the upcoming 2013 Megacity. BMW says that the zero emission Megacity will be manufactured for the worlds city areas and will be available as a sub-brand of BMW.

The 2013 Megacity will have rear wheel drive with 150 hp electric motor which is powered with a 35 kWh lithium-ion battery. BMW estimates the car will have a range of at least 100 miles and a top speed of 95 mph.

The 2013 Megacity is one of the most modern vehicles on the market. The Megacity boasts an advanced design and a carbon fiber reinforced plastic or CFRP body. The images of the Megacity will feature rear hinged suicide doors similar to Rolls Royce Phantom or Ghost, the car will be a 2-door coupe. The car offers four seating which will measure approximately 157 inches long.

The company will launch further Megacity variants. The second model, dubbed ICV or Intracity Vehicle will be launched in 2015. It will retain the 2-door layout, but drop the rear seats. In 2017, BMW will reveal UCV or Urban Commuter car which features 5 seats, widened wheelbase and four doors.
