GM and Sichuan Tengzhong announced sale of Hummer postponed to one month

General Motors and China's Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. announced that the sale of the Hummer will be postponed to one month that is at the end of February.


HummerThe postponement is largely from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Tengzhong has significant experience in building manufacturing and building equipment. As it is new to the customer automobile industry sector the Chinese government holds. Tengzhong has requested federal permission to enter the segment, but awaits final approval. China commerce ministry formerly went on proof saying that they not received an application for approval from Tengzhong, and it is just one of the Chinese government agency want to sign on the deal.

The GM CEO Ed Whitacre and GM China President Kevin Wale indicated that progress was being made on the sale, and that Tengzhong is likely to win the Chinese government's blessing on last month. The second targets go by Hummer features the similar outcome as Pontiac and Saturn, and ultimately be wound down.
