BMW has announced a new Competition Package for the 2011 BMW coupe, but the changes are not as extensive as was first expected. The car has M3 GTS resembling kit contains a front splitter, wing and wheels create its way into the car for the US market.
The package holds a 10mm lower suspension and 19 inch wheels with greater offset for a wider track. The BMW engineers remapped electronic damping and stability control systems. The car is powered with 4.0-L V-8 engine. The improved M3 will expect accelerate to 60mph in 4.8 seconds that it obtains the standard model.
The modifications incorporated in the cars are a 10mm lower suspension, 19-inch wheels, a remapped Electronic Damping Control or EDC and Dynamic Stability Control DSC systems. BMW declares the package will facilitate the M3 to get the layer as the best handling production M car ever. The car is available for both M3 Coupes and sedans for the price of US$2,500.
