Ford revealed 2012 Ford Boss 302 Laguna Seca

Ford the US car manufacturer has revealed 2012 Ford Boss 302 Laguna Seca. The car is based on the Boss 302 and the Laguna Seca was intended to provide weekend racers with a plant track car that could be driven to course take the win then driven back home again.

2012 Ford Boss 302 Laguna SecaThe 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca is powered with a 5.0-L V8 engine system with 440 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. The car is attached to a 6-speed close ratio manual gearbox which drives power to rear wheels through a Torsen restricted slip discrepancy.

The car features Black or Ingot Silver paint fashioned front, red accents, aggressive front splitter from Boss 302R, larger rear spoiler and 19-inch wheels with R-compound ultra high performance tires.

The internal of the car have Recaro sport seats, modified instrument cluster, Alcantara steering wheel, dark metallic trim and black pool cue shifter. The rear seat was removed and replaced with an X-brace that increases chassis stiffness by 10 percent to reduce the weight of car.

The chassis system is similar to standard Boss 302 but there are higher rate springs and a larger rear stabilizer bar. For fine modification of car the car owner can modify the dampers autonomously.

The enhancements of Laguna Seca has more than 1.03g of lateral acceleration, stopping distances reduced by three feet from 60 mph over Boss, 0-60 acceleration enhancements of one tenth of a second and an overall expected lap time improvement of one to two seconds over the standard Boss on a typical road course.
