Mazda revealed new 1.3L SKYACTIV-G engine

Mazda Motor Corporation has revealed new 1.3L SKYACTIV-G engine at Automotive Engineering Exposition which took place at Pacifico Yokohama convention center in Tokyo city of Japan.

Mazda introduced new 1.3L SKYACTIV-G direct-injection engine which produces 62 kW and 112 Nm of torque. The fuel consumption of the car is 3.3 liters/100 km. The gasoline engine achieves a remarkable compression ratio of 14.0:1.
The new SKYACTIV-G 1.3 engine features new technologies such as Multi-hole injectors for precise fuel injection control, dual sequential valve timing system, Compact combustion chambers, piston cavities specially designed to support ideal combustion, innovative idling stop system which improves fuel economy and lightweight highly rigid aluminum alloy engine block.
The Mazda new SKYACTIV-G 1.3 engine was equipped in the facelifted Mazda Demio during the first half of 2011 which was also called as Mazda2 car.
