Porsche has revealed the new 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR car which is based on the 997 type 911 GT3 RS street sports car.
The 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR car is powered with 4.0L efficient 6 cylinder boxer engine. The car produces 460 hp and drives 310mm wide rear wheels. The car is connected with Porsche sequential 6 speed gearbox which is controlled with paddle shifts on steering wheel. The diameter of the front wheels has increased to 30 mm to now measure 680 mm.
The 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR car features nose and rear panels which are adapted to flared front and rear wheel arches, door sill and wheel arch coverings. The aerodynamic concept is balanced by new ducting of intake air, openings in rear side sections from turbo variants of Porsche 911 to swap air measure on engine which is similar to 911 GT2 RS street sports car.
The 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR car can be raced at Le Mans 24 Hours, FIA World Endurance Championship, Le Mans Series, American Le Mans Series as well as International GT Open and in other series and races.
