MAN the German truck and bus manufacturer said in a report that its Brazil unit will raise production in Resende plant by including a third shift over the next few weeks.
MAN, based in Munich will produce about 700 jobs to raise Trucks and Buses chassis production at the plant to 72,000 annually from 50,000. "Brazil has left the global economic crisis behind it and will continue to grow this year. We are confident that other countries in Latin America will also see further growth." said in a report by MAN Latin America President Antonio Roberto Cortes.
MAN said it turns into the Brazilian market leader for trucks and buses in 2009 and directs the market. The first trucks from MAN branded TGX and TGS heavy trucks are expected to roll off at the Brazilian plant by the end of the year.
