Chevrolet the car manufacturing company will reveal its new 2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco. The car is going to making its first debut at 2010 New York Auto Show.
The car is also available with 1.4L Ecotec turbo engine with 138 hp and 148 pound-feet of torque. The car will also be available as standard on the LT and LTZ model. Chevrolet says that 0-60 mph for the Cruze Eco should come in about 10 seconds when mated to a 6-speed manual and 9 seconds when mated to a 6-speed automatic. The base Chevrolet Cruze LS model will be powered by a 1.8L Ecotec 4-cylinder making 136 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque.
The Chevrolet Cruze Eco receives few extra fuel saving modifications like a lower front grille air shutter that closes at higher speeds to improve aerodynamics and opens at lower speeds to optimize engine cooling system airflow, upper grille with more “closeouts” to improve aerodynamics, lower front air dam extension, extensive use of underbody panels and a rear spoiler enhance aerodynamics, 17-inch lightweight aluminum wheels and ultra-low rolling resistance 17-inch Goodyear tires.
The Cruze Eco will be available for sale in the fourth quarter of 2010 with all the further Cruze models.
