Nissan sold out orders for 2010 Nissan LEAF EV

Nissan the Japanese car manufacturer has sold out of orders six months before it comes for sale its upcoming 2010 Nissan LEAF electric vehicle.

2010 Nissan LeafThe Power of 2010 Nissan Leaf comes from a 107HP electric motor that runs on power supplied by lithium-ion cells. The Nissan Leaf permits for a driving range of 100 miles with a top speed of 87 mph on full charge. A full charge takes up to 8 hours on typical 200V outlet.

The customers can pick DC 50kW fast charger, which recharges the battery up to 80% below 30 minutes. The cost of 2011 Nissan LEAF will start at $32,780 but with a federal tax credit prices will come in as low as $25,280, or for a lease payment of $349 a month.

We think there is a big future for this car. I can already tell you that the production for 2010 is already sold out said in a report by Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn in a luncheon at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan. In US, the Nissan LEAF has 13,000 orders, which will be delivered in December. It equals the complete U.S. allocation for the Nissan electric car.
