Citroen the French car manufacturer has revealed the details about the Citroen Metropolis concept car ahead of the Shanghai World Fair. The car is designed to pay homage to China unexpected growth the Metropolis looks like a bigger more stylish GQ concept.
The Citroen Metropolis car is powered with 2.0-L V6 petrol engine system and an electric motor that produces 55 PS or 40 kW / 54 bhp to 95 PS or 70 kW / 94 bhp and as a plug-in hybrid the Metropolis possess a 272 PS or 200 kW / 268 bhp. At less speeds the car is powered absolutely by the electric motor.
When extra power is needed, the electric motor and petrol engine work mutually to offer a combined 460 PS or 345 kW / 454 hp and 430 Nm or 317 lb-ft of torque. Even though being a factual powerhouse, the Metropolis has CO2 emissions of just 70g/km which is just about one fifth that of a usual engine with equal performance.
The Citroen Metropolis car features shiny headlights, a curved in rear window, and Pearl Silk paint which vary color depending on lighting conditions. The extra goodies comprise a Hydractive suspension, four wheel drive, and an active rear spoiler.
