Volkswagen the German car manufacturer has announced the cost details of its new 2011 Volkswagen Amarok pickup which starts at 26,203 euros or $35,280. The cost of new Amarok is for the base crew cab model .
The 2011 Volkswagen Amarok is powered by 122-hp 2.0L 4-cylinder diesel engine system connected to a 6-speed manual transmission and two wheel drive. The all wheel drive will need Europeans to pay an extra $2,500.
There are three trim packages available for the Amarok including base, Trendline and Highline. The cost for Volkswagen Amarok Highline starts at 37,169 euros or $50,050 with all wheel drive and a 2.0L twin turbo diesel making 163-hp.
The base trim has manually operated windows, door locks and mirrors. The middle of the road Trendline includes a painted front bumper and mirror that match the body color, plus electric door locks and mirrors, radio and CD player, air conditioning and fog lamps. The base and Trendline Amaroks roll on 16-inch wheels. The upscale Highline includes chromed mirrors, painted wheel arches, higher-quality interior components and 17-inch aluminum wheels.
