Honda the Japanese automobile manufacturer revealed its new EV-neo electric scooter model and announced that it plans to start leasing it in Japan in December 2010 to businesses and individual business owners offering delivery services.
The Honda EV-neo electric-scooter is equipped with a lithium-ion battery which is produced by Toshiba and a brushless motor that permits it to journey over 18 miles or 30kms on a single charge. That means you can travel 9 miles away from your house because you’re going to need the other 9 miles to get back. Charging from a standard 100V power resource will take about 4 hours.
Honda said that the “EV-neo provides performance equivalent to that of mass market under 50CC gasoline engine system motorbikes realizing a powerful ride even with cargo by leveraging the characteristics of a high torque motor even at a low speed ride.”
Honda will go on offering products with outstanding environmental performance to their customers in order to donate to universal CO2 emission reduction efforts.
